Description Summary
Huntington Insurance Leader, Strategy and Business Development is responsible for defining and executing the agency’s strategic vision to drive growth, profitability, and integrated insurance solutions with Huntington Bank. This role focuses on long-term strategy, go-to-market design, mergers and acquisitions—including integration efforts—and leveraging data insights to align insurance offerings with the bank’s vertical strategies, positioning the agency as a trusted partner for clients and a high-performing business unit within the organization.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop the agency’s long-term strategic plan, ensuring alignment with Huntington Bank’s growth objectives, geographic expansion, and client‑centric approach.
- Collaborate with Huntington Bank’s business lines (Commercial, Wealth, Regional) to design integrated vertical strategies that deliver comprehensive insurance solutions.
- Use market intelligence, client analytics, and performance data to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
Financial Management
- Develop business cases to support the strategy
- Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to senior leadership related to the strategic initiatives
Business Development
- Drive acquisition of new clients and deepen relationships with existing accounts through integrated bank‑insurance solutions.
- Expand distribution channels and leverage Huntington Bank’s client base to maximize reach and revenue potential.
- Identify and attract top talent, strategic partnerships, and resources in Huntington’s expansion geographies to support growth and market penetration.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Identify, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities to accelerate growth and expand market presence.
- Conduct due diligence, financial modeling, and strategic fit analysis.
- Lead integration efforts post‑acquisition, ensuring operational alignment, cultural fit, and realization of synergies across Huntington Bank and the agency.
- Partner with Huntington Bank’s corporate development and finance teams to align acquisitions with enterprise objectives.
Go-to-Market Strategy
- Design and execute go‑to‑market plans for new products, services, and client segments in partnership with bank teams.
- Coordinate cross‑functional campaigns with marketing, sales, and banking partners to maximize client engagement and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Establish data‑driven performance metrics and dashboards to measure success and optimize execution.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of related experience in brokerage experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of success developing leaders, growing revenue and improving profitability
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable insurance licenses as needed.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels across the organization

- Problem‑solving skills/ability to handle complex issues
- Ability to multi‑task and meet tight deadlines
- High energy, results driven with strong coaching ability
- Broad‑Based Business knowledge with emphasis on Leadership, Sales Development and Client Service
- Strong presence and C‑level experience with a bias toward negotiation and consultative sales
- Ability to effectively navigate conflict with customers and partners
