Overview

This position plays a critical role on the Real Estate Strategic Planning team. It requires outstanding judgment, leadership, organization, coordination, and interpersonal skills to support key activities associated with real estate strategic planning. The role gathers, analyzes, coordinates, manages, and reports on activities related to real estate strategies and works from the direction of the Executive Director.

Key responsibilities include managing strategies of varying complexity, ensuring alignment with project goals, and coordinating interfaces between lines of business, real estate, finance, and risk. The role also manages data, systems, and processes from multiple sources, analyzes information to develop strategies, and presents findings to leadership. The ideal candidate has a strong project management background with financial and analytical skills and can work independently while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, manage, and direct the development, approval, and implementation of real estate strategies.
  • Gather business requirements, assess feasible options, and conduct analysis to summarize functional team inputs.
  • Gather data, develop business case PowerPoint presentations, and receive approval to move forward with projects chosen from the regional strategic plan.
  • Drive accountability to ensure successful project completion within schedule and budget.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and oversight during execution to ensure results meet business case parameters.
  • Lead, drive, and be accountable for all aspects of the strategy to ensure successful project completion meeting LOB requirements.
  • Assess and mitigate project issues, interdependencies, risks, and financials, escalating as appropriate.
  • Manage cross‑functional relationships across the enterprise to ensure real estate strategies and projects meet organizational and business objectives.
  • Maintain RES databases and report on portfolio and project performance, status, timeliness of execution, and budget to actual.
  • Oversee capital budget and business analytic team member assigned to the project for accuracy of strategy approved.
  • Manage the project life cycle.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimal 7 years relevant work experience in Real Estate project management; PMP certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university in Project Management, Finance, or Real Estate; equivalent work experience may be sufficient.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information in concise and relevant terms for business decisions.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing multiple projects cross‑functionally.
  • Strong analytical skills in financial analysis and business case development.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and preferred Real Estate Portfolio and Projects Systems (CoStar System), with ease in systems, process, and data management.
