Schedule: Hybrid, 50/50 Work from Home
OverviewWe are actively seeking a Construction Project Manager for one of our construction clients in the Asheville, NC area. This role oversees the full turnkey installation lifecycle of manufactured homes, managing a high‑volume pipeline from permitting through final inspections. The Project Manager leads subcontractor coordination, ensures quality execution, and drives each project to completion with speed, organization, and accountability. You will collaborate with a General Manager and operations team, working primarily in-office with periodic site visits.
CoreResponsibilities Subcontractor Management & Negotiation
- Build and maintain a high-quality subcontractor network (electricians, HVAC, plumbing, excavation, crane services, etc.
- Negotiate pricing and enforce clear scope expectation
- Ensure subcontractors meet deadlines and deliver consistent quality
- Resolve conflicts quickly and professionally
- Simultaneously manage 80+ active projects across permitting, scheduling, delivery, set, inspections, and finishing
- Coordinate inspections, trade schedules, deliveries, and site prep
- Keep project advancing, within timeline and budget
- Maintain organized, accurate digital job files
- Track budgets and protect job profitability
- Control material orders and prevent excess spending
- Submitting bids, scheduling subcontractors, updating milestones and job status, maintaining real-time accuracy, flagging delays immediately
- Understand manufactured home installation standards
- Identify deficiencies prior to inspections
- Ensure subcontractors meet quality expectations
- Protect the company’s reputation with inspectors, communities, and partners
- * Construction industry experience required
- 5+ years experience in construction management or field supervision
- 5+ years in a dedicated Project Management role
- Strong background in subcontractor management and negotiations
- Familiarity with local permitting and inspection processes
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Confident communicator with strong leadership presence
- PMP certification a plus, but not required
