Our business is growing, and we are accepting applications for a DIRECTOR of OPERATIONS who preferably is based in the United States, with the possibility for some remote work and/or potential requirements to travel. This candidate will need to routinely report to our site in GA.

Position SummaryThe Director of Operations is accountable for the strategic leadership, oversight, and assurance of AITS' operations, spanning Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Corporate Services. The role provides a critical bridge between operational delivery and executive leadership, translating organizational strategy into prioritized, well-governed programs while ensuring consistent performance, financial control, and risk management. The Director acts as the COO's principal adviser on operational delivery, organizational readiness, and transformation.
Job Responsibilities- Strategic Program Leadership
- Oversee the operational functions to ensure alignment with corporate strategy.
- Translate organizational objectives into prioritized programs.
- Ensure measurable organizational value, resilience, and scalability.
- Leadership of Operational Delivery
- Provide leadership to Operations Project Manager(s).
- Establish consistent delivery standards and culture.
- Governance, Assurance, and Reporting
- Own operational program governance frameworks.
- Provide executive-level assurance and reporting.
- Financial and Resource Stewardship
- Accountable for program budgets and resource allocation.
- Ensure value for money and return on investment
- Risk, Compliance, and Resilience
- Provide senior ownership of risk management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security obligations.
- Transformation and Change
- Lead major operational and digital transformation initiatives.
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- Senior program leadership experience.
- Strong governance, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven success leading and developing operational functions of an organization.
- Recognized project/program management experienced delivery and or qualification (PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, or equivalent).
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a leader and facilitator who enables the business rather than acting as a blocker.
- Ability to commute to the Augusta, GA area on a regular basis is required.
