About the Position
The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief organizational leader of Linden Grove Mentoring. The ED is responsible for the health, sustainability, strategic direction, and external advancement of the ministry.
The Executive Director ensures that LGM operates effectively, grows wisely, remains financially strong, leads the staff, and fulfills its mission with integrity and clarity. The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Trustees.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the regular operations of the ministry.Provide strategic direction while ensuring LGM remains true to its vision, mission, and distinctives.Develop and oversee the annual budget.Work with the Treasurer, CPA, and bookkeeper to ensure a high standard of fiscal stewardship.Work with legal counsel to ensure legal compliance.Promote the ministry and lead ongoing fundraising and special campaigns.Oversee the staff and set the tone and culture of the organization.Serve as the liaison to the Board of Trustees.Partner with the Lead Mentor to support the spiritual health of the staff.Mentor at least one cohort, which includes group and one-on-ones, at all times.Position Qualifications
Key Qualifications and Requirements
Embody the biblical qualifications of an elder, demonstrating mature Christlike character, humility, integrity, and spiritual credibility.Affirm LGM’s doctrinal statement and mission, wholeheartedly supporting its theological commitments, mentoring philosophy, and distinctives.Demonstrated pastoral ministry experience.Demonstrated proven organizational leadership capacity, including strategic planning, staff oversight, financial awareness, and operational management.Exhibit clear communication skills, including the ability to inspire trust, articulate vision, and represent the ministry effectively in public settings.Preferably have demonstrable experience and success in fundraising, donor cultivation, and ministry advancement.Have demonstrated mentoring experience.Terms of Employment
This is a full‑time position, and compensation is commensurate with experience and comparable to full‑time ministry leadership positions. Employment with LGM is at will.
Linden Grove Mentoring (“LGM”) is a non‑profit ministry dedicated to mentoring pastors, church leaders, and their spouses. Through one‑on‑one mentoring, cohort‑based learning, and development of a supportive leadership community, we equip our mentees for Christlike resilient ministry.
Founded in September 2020, LGM has grown rapidly by the grace of God. As we enter a new season of expansion, we seek an Executive Director who will steward the health, sustainability, and strategic growth of the organization while preserving its distinctive mentoring ethos. Our staff and adjunct mentors live and work remotely in several states.
