The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The Key Account Project Manager reports to the Medical Technologies OEM Business Operations Manager and plays a critical role in partnering with cross‑functional teams to drive effective project management and predictable project execution. This highly visible role provides strategic leadership to ensure Solventum over‑achieves on key customer expectations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide oversight and drive coordination of the umbrella master plan, communicating critical updates to the Leadership Team.
  • Lead projects independently, offering guidance on strategy and execution to cross‑functional teams and ensuring alignment with large‑scale global projects.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects – scope, plan, budget, resources, risk, problem‑solving, and communication – and serve as the primary point of contact.
  • Lead cross‑functional project teams, ensuring projects run within defined constraints of scope, budget, and timelines, while adhering to required quality standards and procedures.
  • Evaluate planning and technical risk, make decisions, and implement countermeasures to keep project plans on schedule.
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams across locations to anticipate challenges, coordinate timelines, and facilitate decision‑making.
Your Skills And Expertise

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanics, plastics, systems, industrial, biomedical, or related) or a project management discipline, plus at least 5 years of project leadership/management experience in product development, manufacturing, or research.

Additional required qualifications:

  • Experience leading and motivating cross‑functional teams, driving projects to completion on time and within budget while meeting quality and performance standards.
  • Proficiency in project management principles and tools; professional certification (e.g., PMI) is an asset.
  • Experience managing stakeholder communication in a matrix organization and collaborating with diverse, global teams.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify issues and support resolution of work‑related challenges.
  • Experience with FDA and ISO regulations, standards, or guidelines in a regulated or quality‑focused environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed:

  • Prior working experience in the healthcare industry or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience negotiating priorities and addressing work‑related conflicts.
  • Experience working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver results; customer‑focus and results‑driven.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Experience using MS Project.
Work location
  • Hybrid eligible (some remote work allowed, but requires travel to Eagan, MN at least 1–2 days per week).

Travel may include up to 20% domestic/international. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for an employment visa status (e.g., H1B).

Solventum offers a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation for this position ranges from $163,200 to $224,400, including base pay and variable incentive pay, where applicable.
