Cost Estimator-Part Time

We need a part time cost estimator with utility or infrastructure experience. Strong knowledge of CSI standards-rail experience is a plus.

We are looking for proactive, adaptable and motivated cost estimator with 3 years of experience overseeing multiple complex projects in the electric utility industry with proven record of working independently with minimal supervision.

Part time, could be 5 hours a week and 15 hours other weeks.

• Responsible for executing all Project Controls activities for assigned projects, programs, or areas of responsibility. 30/60/90 100% design
• Work under direct supervision of lead project controls specialist or manager
• Collaborate with and obtain data/information from various project stakeholders (e.g. project managers, functional managers, discipline leads, and team members)
• Develop and maintain strong working relationship with project or program stakeholders.
• Manage service levels with varying degrees of complexity and requirements appropriate to the position.
• Meet performance goals set forth in an effective and safe manner
• Required to make day‑to‑day, routine decisions based on company/department’s policies, guidelines, and work instructions
• Demonstrated expertise in Project controls and/or project management
• Direction from direct supervisor and/or guidance from direct supervisor, project managers, functional managers, discipline leads, and team members

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management preferred
• Two or more years’ experience in cost controls/management
• Demonstrated knowledge, ability or experience in Project Management, Project Controls, and/or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Utility construction/CA regulated/regulatory/EPC experience desirable
• Demonstrated ability or knowledge in Microsoft software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Solutions application
• Demonstrated ability or knowledge in Project Controls software (e.g. Project, Primavera and Contract Manager)
