It also develops energy transport and supply chain solutions involving LNG, hydrogen, ammonia, derivatives, and captured LCO₂ management. The company supports industries and daily life through maritime transport while tackling decarbonization challenges, including the adoption of alternative fuels.
The company is hiring a Manager/Senior Manager(Energy Division, Shipping company) for its Energy Division. Required experience includes shipping business activities such as owning, managing, chartering, and operating vessels.
The candidate is responsible for ensuring daily business activities comply with the group's credo and business policies. You must respond to customer requests promptly and accurately, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions.
Key responsibilitiesReports to:
Director, General Manager, or Deputy General Manager.
- Identify and grow business opportunities for the Energy Division in Singapore and the Asia/Oceania region.
- Serve as a representative for the Energy Division, building and maintaining strong relationships with both current and potential clients across Singapore and Asia/Oceania.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate existing business operations, including commercial shipping and vessel operations, while leading new projects as project manager.
- Provide direction, support, and mentorship to local staff across Asia/Oceania, fostering a collaborative and motivated environment to meet business goals.
- Monitor and analyze energy policies and market conditions in the Asia/Oceania region, and regularly report insights to key stakeholders, including management and Tokyo headquarters.
- Perform any additional or ad hoc duties as needed to support evolving business needs.
- Degree in Maritime Studies or a related field is preferred.
- Expertise in vessel ownership, management, chartering, and operations across any vessel type.
- Experience in project management with demonstrated leadership in implementing projects (including in an assistant capacity).
- Business experience in energy supply chains (preferred).
- Has experience in bidding of tenders and developing of business
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, ship financing, and cash flow analysis.
- Strong team player with a transparent working style and a proactive approach to seizing opportunities and handling all aspects of the role.
