Job Summary
Title:
Director, Content Marketing (Contract).
Location:
483 Bay Street, Toronto (until late 2026; thereafter Mississauga, 3 Robert Speck Parkway). Employment:
Flexible hybrid schedule, contract ending January 2028. Current work authorization for Canada required.
- Set the vision, direction, and execution for content marketing.
- Provide strategic and creative leadership for content marketing from concept through execution and measurement.
- Lead high‑performing teams developing content across channels and formats to drive sales, advisor engagement, and brand impact.
- Partner closely with Product and Sales leadership to align content strategy to business priorities.
- Establish clear goals and hold leaders accountable for results.
- Drive innovation and focus the team on high‑value opportunities.
- Build and lead a high‑performing team, develop strong leaders through coaching, feedback, and accountability.
- Support talent planning, succession, retention, and ongoing development; lead goal setting and performance management aligned to strategy.
- Foster engagement and a culture consistent with Fidelity’s values.
- Own content marketing strategy, planning and budget; develop long‑term plans translating business goals into actionable priorities.
- Develop and execute content strategies for the B2B financial advisor‑sold channel and B2C wealth management.
- Anticipate future capability needs across people, content, and tools.
- Build strong business cases and secure alignment from senior leaders and partners for initiatives.
- Act as a key strategic partner and subject matter expert; present recommendations to senior executives and influence decision‑making.
- Build stakeholder alignment on priorities and resource allocation; ensure focus on key initiatives.
- University Degree (Bachelor Degree) or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years of experience in marketing or communications function.
- 5 years of experience leading 1 or 2 marketing functions and growing a high performing marketing team.
- B2B and/or B2C marketing and communications experience, ideally in asset management, wealth management, or financial technology.
- Campaign planning and strategy, including product launches and sales enablement.
- Digital marketing experience.
- Strong influencing and partnership skills across multiple stakeholders including senior executives.
- Proven people leadership skills, ability to develop and leverage capabilities of a high performing team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation, including copywriting and strong editorial mindset.
- Project management, strong organizational skills and ability to pivot and manage changing priorities.
- Deep working knowledge of the financial services industry with a solid understanding of wealth management and personal finance (registered account types, tax, estate planning, retirement).
- Fin Tech content creation experience is an asset.
- Nice to Have:
Bilingual – Written and Verbal French.
Contract role offering a flexible, hourly compensation model that ranges from $72–$98, based on experience and qualifications. Hourly rate reflects specialized skills and agility required.
