Operations Manager
Overview
Based in our Dallas, Texas location, you will be responsible for both strategic and operational leadership to ensure "best in class" daily operation of our distribution center. This role ensures an All Hands On Safety culture and a positive work environment. You must drive process improvement and maintain high service levels for customers while aligning with corporate objectives. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the Sr.
Director of Distribution & Logistics.
- Develop and lead a staff/team with emphasis on accountability, collaboration, and communication to achieve performance targets.
- Effectively collaborate with other sites & functions, suppliers, and customers.
- Communicate with customers to ensure alignment.
- Manage and model our safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the operation complies with federal, state, local and company safety, health and labor standards.
- Continuous improvement focus to reduce process waste and improve customer satisfaction.
- Own the site’s annual budget and manage individual cost accounts.
- Lead & measure daily processes to ensure order fulfillment and productivity.
- Execute monthly key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, on‑time delivery, sales, cycle counts, safety, etc.
- Use strong analytical, benchmarking, and quantitative skills to assess operational efficiency and implement improvements.
- Produce data and reports on distribution activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years warehouse experience in a high‑volume, high‑SKU site that includes material planning, receiving, pick/pack/ship, quality, kitting, & warehousing.
- 5+ years in a management‑level, people‑leader role.
- 5+ years with hands‑on ERP system (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards) experience that includes WMS platforms; familiarity with WMS/ERP integration.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate verbally and in writing.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Preferred:
Master’s degree (MBA or Operations). - Certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, APICS CPIM, or CSCP.
- Experience with distribution automation systems and supporting applications (e.g., WES, WCS, RF, Conveyors, Label Applicators, In‑Line Scanners).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 policies and practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours and/or a variety of shifts.

This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
