Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
Project Manager – Client Onboarding (Lincoln office) responsible for planning and executing onboarding projects across Nelnet’s businesses and geographies.
Starting Pay Rate: $60,000 - $70,000 based on experience. Hybrid work model: 24 in‑office hours per week for associates within 30 miles; remote work also accommodated.
Responsibilities- Plan and successfully execute multiple onboarding projects through cross‑functional collaboration.
- Perform analysis and due diligence to create clear, attainable objectives and build project requirements.
- Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical paths.
- Provide status reporting and updates on issue resolution.
- Deliver against agreed cost, time, scope and quality constraints.
- Coordinate and promote continuous improvement of workflows, procedures, processes and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- Experience with end‑to‑end onboarding and implementation.
- PMP certification a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, JIRA and Confluence.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in project management, process management and optimization.
- Excellent workflow management and process re‑engineering skills.
- Strong organization, prioritization and proactive thinking.
- Detail oriented with a strategic view; client focused (internal and external).
- Strong written and verbal communication; results oriented.
- Ability to coordinate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong MIS/metrics analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent relationship building abilities.
