Job Overview
This role reports to the Director of Product Management and is responsible for managing the Ruger MSR product line while supporting Bolt Action and Pistol LE/MIL products. The Product Manager will drive product vision, strategy, and lifecycle management, ensuring measurable financial and operational results that align with company objectives and sustain profitability.
Responsibilities- Manage the Ruger MSR product line and support Bolt Action and Pistol LE/MIL products.
- Develop and implement product strategy aligned with the company’s strategic vision.
- Oversee product lines to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans and long‑term growth targets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast volumes, revenue, and profit margins for each product line.
- Provide comprehensive briefings to the Executive Team on market trends, competitor performance, and product innovation opportunities.
- Deliver New Product Development briefings for approval of significant new products or product lines.
- Lead cross‑functional teams through ideation, design, development, delivery, continuous improvement, and discontinuation of products.
- Act as the Voice of the Customer and work closely with Engineering on design, development, improvement, quality, testing, and delivery.
- Coordinate with Project Management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Partner with Marketing to develop launch strategies and sustainment campaigns for existing products.
- Collaborate with Operations to optimize line capacities and maximize profitability on constrained lines.
- Work with Financial teams to achieve product line financial metrics.
- Ensure compliance with patents, trademarks, and external marketing/communications through collaboration with the Legal Department.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, quality, and accountability in alignment with senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in LE/MIL or the shooting, hunting, or outdoors industry related to LE/MIL sales or product development.
- Service in Police Tactical or Military Special Operations Units (preferred).
- General understanding of LE/MIL procurement processes.
- Financial business acumen.
- Strong analytical skills to organize and analyze large data sets logically and in detail.
- Excellent communication proficiency.
- Knowledge of ATF, FFL, ITAR, and EAR compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand blueprints (preferred).
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Minimum age of 18, ability to pass a background and drug screen, and defined availability for work hours.
Location:
Negotiable with onsite preference in Hebron, KY;
Mayodan, NC; or Prescott, AZ. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
Salary: D.O.E – please include your salary requirements with your application.

Full Time.
