At Vir Geo, we provide a purpose-built, cloud-based platform that gives enterprises a single source of truth for all their geo-data — independent of who acquired it, when it was created, or which project it originated from. Unlike generic file-sharing tools, Vir Geo understands geo-data: files are linked to precise geographic locations and visualised on interactive maps, making it easy to access data based on where it was collected.
As part of Fugro, we combine global expertise with innovative digital solutions to help clients unlock the value of geo-data. We are now looking for a Head of Sales to lead Vir Geo’s commercial growth and global expansion within the energy industry and subsequently into adjacent industries.
- Lead the development and execution of sales strategies, driving growth within the Vir Geo commercial team and across Fugro’s regions.
- Shape the market for Vir Geo by leading external conversations with prospective clients and industry partners.
- Drive client engagement, manage and develop a team of 4–6 sales and marketing professionals and coach your team to build strong, lasting relationships.
- Educate Fugro’s commercial organisation on Vir Geo, enabling teams with the right knowledge and tools to increase sales.
- Lead the development of sales and marketing materials in close collaboration with the product team.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities and contribute to the broader growth strategy of Vir Geo.
- Actively contribute to scaling Vir Geo into a repeatable SaaS-based commercial model.
- Relevant degree in a geo-related discipline (e.g., "Geo-Science, GIS, Engineering") with 10+ years’ experience in the energy sector or similar.
- Strong industry network with a proven ability to leverage relationships to drive commercial growth.
- Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or commercial leadership roles.
- Solid understanding of the asset lifecycle and proven ability to develop project opportunities.
- Experience with SaaS business models and building scalable go-to-market strategies for digital products.
