The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S. This project is of significant scale and complexity, and our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery this year.
The candidate will act as the Lead Electrical Superintendent on the upcoming project. The candidate may start in the home office in Reston, VA, as single status, to support preconstruction planning, ahead of project mobilization to the field when the candidate will locate on a long-term assignment to Cheyenne, Wyoming. This position is contingent upon project award.
Job Summary:The Lead Field Superintendent - Electrical is responsible for supervising the electrical supervision team relating to electrical equipment, transformers, above ground & below ground raceway installation, cable pulling and termination activities. In this role, you will manage the organization and direction of the associated construction activities and oversee the management including supervision of construction craft personnel, cost and schedule. Your leadership will ensure project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget.

Leadership/Supervision:
- Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
- Schedules work to be performed, and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
- Participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations.
- Proactively engages with their team's development through CPM, Competency Development / assessment and feedback.
Planning/Productivity:
- Determines workforce requirements.
- Coordinates established area operational plans.
- Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients’ resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.
- Supervises the development of construction drawings and sketches.
- Oversees the development of planning construction methods and procedures.
- Oversees the development of projections and schedules for workforce, material and equipment requirements.
- Reviews and assigns installation work packages to foreman and general foreman.
- Oversees the reporting of installed quantities to Field Engineering for verification and quantity claiming.
- Reviews project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.
- Participates in the development and implementation of level 4 and level 5 project schedules.
- Oversees the preparation of reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
- Prepares construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Oversees the coordination of construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
- Oversees the coordination with other subcontractors and external stakeholders (or subcontractors) to plan construction schedules.
- Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Oversees the preparation of Field Material Requisition s for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
Safety/Quality:
- Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
- Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
