This is a remote position. The Senior Government Accounting Manager is a key member of the Corporate team within GE Aerospace Corporate. This role is the subject‑matter expert responsible for corporate government submissions, including Forward Pricing and Incurred Cost. The Manager will assist with Home Office Disclosure Statements and internal special projects as needed. The position leads compliance with the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), maintains relationships with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), and ensures harmonization with the broader Government Accounting team to meet compliance objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Establish and refine GE Aerospace Corporate Home Office (CHO) strategy for cost recovery and disclosed accounting practices to ensure compliance and optimize processes and outcomes.
  • Support, coordinate, and negotiate Corporate Home Office Forward Pricing and Incurred Cost submissions and related audits.
  • Maintain and update Disclosure Statements and support related audits.
  • Assess highly technical CAS compliance scenarios, including alleged non‑compliances, and assist the business in assessing impacts and identifying resolution strategies.
  • Enhance business processes and ensure they are compliant with CAS and support the requirements in the FAR, Department of Defense supplement (DFARS), and other applicable acquisition regulations and guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with external government audit partners and internal representatives to support government and internal audits.
  • Personally lead or support lean transformation efforts to eliminate waste, improve transparency, establish standard work, and enhance the value the team brings to the business.

  • Drive a culture of compliance that focuses on clear communication of requirements to all stakeholders from individual contributors to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
  • Significant related experience at a major defense contractor, DCMA, or DCAA.
Desired Characteristics
  • Deep domain expertise in Government Accounting with significant practical experience with Cost Accounting Standards, CASB Disclosure Statement, Forward Pricing, and Incurred Cost at a CAS 403 Corporate Home Office.
  • Significant experience interacting with senior DCMA (ACO, DACO, CACO) and DCAA (supervisory auditor, Branch Manager, Regional Audit Manager) staff.
  • Strong cost accounting background related to U.S. Government contracting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, able to tailor communications to the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to apply lean principles in a transactional setting with an emphasis on root cause analysis, countermeasure development, and sustained change control.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects / programs, strategic thinker, ability to document, plan and execute projects, and established project management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning and initiatives required to enable continuous process improvement with the need to execute on tactical priorities in a resource‑constrained environment.
  • Comfortable working in an environment of ambiguity and changing priorities driven by customer requirements and external forces.
Compensation

Base pay range: $ - $ USD annually. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary.
