Senior Manager, Product Operations (Remote Eligible)

-REMOTE, USA-

For over 20 years, Smartsheet has helped people and teams achieve–well, anything. From seamless work management to smart, scalable solutions, we’ve always worked with flow. We’re building tools that empower teams to automate the manual, uncover insights, and scale smarter. But more than that, we’re creating space– space to think big, take action, and unlock the kind of work that truly matters.

Because when challenge meets purpose, and passion turns into progress, that’s magic at work, and it’s what we show up for everyday.

We're looking for a Senior Manager of Product Operations to lead the team responsible for how our product org plans, executes, and ships. You'll manage a team of Product Operations Managers, set the operational standard for the org, and partner with product and engineering leadership to drive strategic alignment. This is a player‑coach role — you'll get in the weeds when it matters and zoom out to shape how the function evolves.

What

You'll Do
  • Lead, develop, and grow a team of Product Operations Managers across varying levels
  • Design and own the product operating model: planning cycles, goals frameworks, launch process, and team rhythms
  • Partner with Directors and VPs to surface operational insights that inform investment and prioritization decisions
  • Set tooling strategy for product ops — drive adoption of systems (including Smartsheet) that create accountability and visibility
  • Define role standards, hiring bars, and development paths for the Product Ops function
  • Embed AI‑augmented workflows into how the team operates; model a builder mindset
  • Drive cross‑functional alignment between product, engineering, design, GTM, and finance
What You Bring
  • 8+ years in product operations, strategy & ops, or program management — with at least 2–3 years in people management
  • Deep experience designing operational systems that scale across a product org
  • Strong executive communication: you can present operational complexity at the VP and CPO level without losing the nuance
  • Track record of building and developing high‑performing ops teams
  • Data‑driven and outcome‑oriented — you connect operational decisions to business metrics
  • Experience influencing without authority across multiple functions and org levels
Nice to Have
  • Experience building or scaling a Product Ops function from the ground up
  • Familiarity with AI tooling strategy in an operational context
  • Background in GTM or launch operations at a SaaS or platform company
  • Medical/vision and dental coverage options for full‑time employees
  • 401k Match to help you save for your future (50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of your eligible pay)
  • Monthly stipend to support your work and productivity
  • US employees are automatically covered under Smartsheet‑sponsored life insurance, short‑term, and long‑term disability plans
  • US employees receive 12 paid holidays per year
  • Up to 24 weeks of Parental Leave
  • Personal paid Volunteer Day to support our community
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development including access to Udemy online courses
  • Company Funded Perks, including a counseling membership, local retail discounts, and your own personal Smartsheet account
  • Teleworking options from any registered location in the U.S. (role specific)

US Base Salary Pay Range

$170,000 - $230,000 USD
