Area Manager

Neptune Retail Solutions is seeking an entrepreneur‑minded individual for the position of Area Manager
. This field‑based role will operate from a home office and oversee the overall operations for the specific geographical area, which includes all cities, suburbs, and rural areas throughout central Tennessee—Nashville and north to the Kentucky border, and south of Nashville to the Alabama border.

The Area Manager is responsible for the direct oversight of part‑time merchandisers who install and service advertising and merchandising programs in grocery, drug, convenience, and mass‑merchandise outlets. A list of retail chains serviced includes Publix, Kroger, CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Target, with special attention to Dollar General Headquarters in Goodlettsville, TN.

• Hire, train, and motivate a team of about 22 part‑time merchandisers.
• Ensure the team successfully executes field programs.
• Hold direct reports accountable through reporting and auditing.
• Proactively anticipate problems and situations and arrange appropriate resolutions.
• Interface with clients and customers.

• 2 years of previous remote management experience.
• Desire to continually improve.
• Willingness to take ownership, be held accountable and hold others accountable.
• Ability to lead and motivate.
• Ability to analyze information toward continuous improvement and innovation.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Basic computer competencies (working knowledge of Microsoft Office).
• Attention to detail.
• Initiative and follow‑through.
• Problem‑solving skills.
• Works effectively as part of a team.
• Time‑management skills.
• Valid driver’s license (minimum 2 years).
• College degree or equivalent experience.
