Position: EIT Project Manager | Remote | Contract
Project Manager | Remote | Contract-to-Hire

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Project Manager with a minimum of 4-6 years of experience leading medium to high-complexity cross-functional projects. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting enterprise-level initiatives within a highly collaborative PMO environment.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

• 4-6+ years of experience in a Project Management role

• Proven experience managing medium to large, cross-functional projects from initiation through closure

• Strong relationship-building, organization, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables

• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority

• Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills

• Ability to connect project tasks to business outcomes and value realization

• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, and/or Hybrid project methodologies

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Availability to work Eastern or Central time zone business hours

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills

• Experience leading project communications with stakeholders at all organizational levels

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong risk, issue, and dependency management experience

• Experience facilitating meetings, governance activities, and executive-level discussions

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Experience creating and maintaining project documentation and status reporting

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools

• Accountability and ownership mindset with a strong focus on teamwork and delivery

• Experience mentoring, coaching, or guiding project team members

WE CONSIDER IT A BONUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE:

• PMP Certification

• Experience working in healthcare or highly regulated industries

• Experience supporting Enterprise PMO organizations

• Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot or other AI-powered project management tools

• Experience leading organizational change management initiatives

• Exposure to vendor management and third-party project coordination

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead 3-6 projects simultaneously through the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure

• Ensure adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and governance processes

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall delivery performance

• Execute change management and impact assessment activities throughout the project lifecycle

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, executive summaries, and closure documentation

• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues

• Escalate concerns appropriately to protect project timelines, budgets, and delivery outcomes

• Partner with business leaders, IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive project success

• Facilitate project meetings, governance reviews, steering committee discussions, and leadership updates

• Ensure compliance with PMO reporting standards, controls, and project management processes

• Coordinate project resources, dependencies, and work streams across multiple teams

• Drive stakeholder alignment and manage expectations throughout project execution

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO

• Capture and communicate project outcomes, business value, lessons learned, and operational impacts

• Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership regarding project status and performance
