About the Role

As a Senior Customer Success Manager for India, you will manage and expand relationships with strategic military and governmental agencies across India. You will be the main point of contact for customers during their contract lifecycle, focusing on customer value, retention, and satisfaction. You will help customers maximize the value of Planet’s imagery and geospatial solutions, ensuring integration into their workflows.

The ideal candidate has experience working with Indian military and/or government agencies, and excels at navigating complex government structures, decision-making processes, and interagency relationships.

This is a full‑time, remote position based in Delhi, India.

Impact You’ll Own
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Lead as the primary contact for high‑stakes military and governmental agencies, fostering long‑term partnerships built on trust and mission success.
  • Workflow Integration: Partner with customers to deeply understand mission requirements and guide integration of Planet data into existing geospatial workflows (border security, disaster response, urban planning).
  • Navigation of Government Structures: Masterfully navigate Indian interagency relationships, identify key stakeholders across ministries, and build bridges to drive adoption of Planet’s platform.
  • Retention & Expansion: Own the renewal process and identify growth opportunities, ensuring contract stability and advocating for new use cases.
  • Customer Advocacy: Represent the "Voice of the Indian Government" within Planet, collaborating with Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to influence roadmap based on regional requirements.
  • Value Creation & Success Planning: Translate mission requirements into value creation, develop and execute Success Plans with clear KPIs for customers, and drive value expansion.
What You Bring
  • 6+ years of experience working directly with the Indian Armed Forces and/or Central Government agencies, understanding procurement and bureaucratic processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Solid grasp of GIS, remote sensing, or satellite imagery applications (no developer needed, but must speak the language of geospatial analysts).
  • Ability to build connections across ministries and maintain relationships with high‑ranking officials and technical end‑users.
  • Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills, translating technical capabilities into mission outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with high engagement, proactive problem‑solving, and multitasking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in Hindi.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel.
