Position: Associate Energy Efficiency Consultant, EV Implementation (Hybrid Schedule)

Eversource supports work‑life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance.

Responsibilities

Assist the Electric Vehicle (EV) Implementation team with the development, promotion, and implementation of EV initiatives to meet established goals under the direction of the Supervisor and/or Manager of Electric Vehicle Implementation.

  • Directly process customer applications and payments, or coordinate with third‑party vendors to deliver rebates for the residential, fleet, multifamily, and Direct Current Fast Charger (DCFC) EV Charging Program within Service Level Agreements.
  • Adopt all Eversource‑established procedures and regulatory requirements for program delivery.
  • Ensure compliance and recommend appropriate updates to leadership for cost‑effective programs, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to refine optimal electric‑vehicle charging strategies to meet key program objectives.
  • Engage industry stakeholders and local communities across Eversource territory to raise awareness of the EV Charging Program.
  • Stay up to date on the managed charging capabilities of electric‑vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), vehicle onboard telematics, and aftermarket onboard diagnostic port or dongle equipment.
  • Collaborate with EVSE and vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to integrate their equipment into the Program and Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS).
  • Coordinate with management to assist with Program financial and operational performance reporting, including key performance indicators, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Eversource colleagues to develop and implement enhanced procedures for continuous process improvements of the EV Programs.
  • Collaborate on RFPs for selection of outside vendors to help administer the EV program, as applicable.
  • Interact with customers and resolve concerns and complaints as necessary.
  • Assist in the development of customer education materials with a particular emphasis on consumer protection and low‑income participation.
  • Foster and support a company culture that promotes high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of clean energy policy and program management.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting best practices.
  • Proficiency with PC desktop applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of electric vehicle charging and utility demand response and peak‑demand reduction programs and load profiling.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Public Policy, Finance, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience.

Experience

One (1) plus year of relevant experience in technical sales, project management, engineering, and managing complex, high‑volume customer‑facing programs.
