The Finance General team manages the planning and direction of finance processes and activities. Activities include the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs.
This role in summaryWhirlpool is seeking a Senior Finance Manager, Category Business Units to join the Commercial Finance Team, North America Region (NAR). This person will be the lead of the NAR Business Unit Categories and Capital and Engineering finance teams, setting the finance strategy for investments and capital allocation, supporting business case analysis for long-term Category strategies with full P&L ownership, and providing full P&L support for category leadership.
He/she will also partner with the U.S. category marketing team to develop and execute the Category strategy for the U.S. Core business, and act as a liaison between commercial and cost finance teams. The role is fully in‑office, Monday through Friday, located at the Riverview Campus in Benton Harbor, Michigan. A comprehensive relocation package is available for eligible candidates.
- Partner with business leaders to lead and drive product investments processes and decisions focused on maximizing profitable growth across the NAR Business Unit.
- Act as coach to direct reports and extended team members.
- Develop Category Long Range Plans and annual plan targets in line with long‑term value creation goals.
- Connect Category Business teams for data‑driven forecast adjustments and planning decisions for both operational decisions with the cost P&L drivers and commercial strategic decisions driving top‑line growth.
- Partner with NAR finance peers and global peers to share and adopt best practices across One Finance.
- Lead the North America product investment strategy and full P&L ownership, transforming complex data—price, volume, mix—to the definitive performance narrative that drives senior leadership decisions.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
- MBA.
