Provide strategic leadership of the Claims team handling Private Company and EPL claims within Financial Lines and part of the larger Management Liability team. This includes leading and developing a team of claims professionals capable of handling complex claims to optimal resolution for customers and QBE. Provide Analysis and insights into the Private Co claim portfolio, allowing company and underwriting leadership to manage business performance.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Develop and lead a high-performing claims team with professionals who are capable of independently assessing complex claims while also working collaboratively with their claim, legal and underwriting colleagues to put QBE's customers and QBE in the best position to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop a culture of accountability, and a team of professionals with strong broker and customer-facing skills to complement strong technical skills.
- Provide claim portfolio assessments that enable company to view portfolio performance in various ways (e.g., by line of business, product, year, claim type, industry sector, etc.).
- Develop and maintain strong broker and customer relationships.
- Work with internal operations and support teams to drive claim efficiency and compliance.

- 10+ years relevant experience
- Advanced understanding of U.S. financial lines market, particularly the EPL and Private Company management liability markets, including, without limitation, deep knowledge of market cycles, claim trends, pricing trends, products and distribution channels.
- Outstanding critical thinking and writing skills.
- Outstanding presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and abilities, particularly around leading by example, being inclusive and developing talent.

The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
