This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. The amount of time required to work at a TCHC work location is flexible, while considering operational and service delivery requirements.

We are searching for a collaborative and strategic leader who enjoys working in a dynamic and energetic environment. As Manager, Revitalization and Renewal Communities you will lead staff and manage resources to support the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of strategies, initiatives and programs which engage internal and external stakeholders to develop and support leadership to advance the goals of the revitalization and renewal communities.

In this role you will support TCHC's tenant‑focused culture.

What You’ll Do
Physical, Social, and Economic Transformation
  • As the lead and subject matter expert, develop and monitor the implementation of key transformation strategies and reports, e.g., social development plan, community action plan, asset mapping and needs assessment
  • Develop strategies and work plans to engage tenants and a broad range of internal and external stakeholder participation in the planning, decision making, and evaluation processes related to revitalization goals – physical and social transformation
  • Manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of community economic development and tenant benefit strategies that increase levels of tenant employment, social procurement, access to training, and other achieve revitalization goals
  • Design and manage stakeholder relations throughout the relocation processes
Leading Staff/Managing Resources
  • Manage unionized and non‑unionized staff and ensure optimal staffing levels are maintained
  • Build a team culture driven by TCHC’s performance culture model and confronting anti‑Black racism values
  • Train and educate team to understand policies, procedures, and specialized knowledge of revitalization planning and social transformation processes
  • Accountable for team’s understanding of and compliance with TCHC policies, applicable legislation, unit procedures, collective agreement, health and safety measures, and confidentiality
  • Lead teams to meet key performance indicators, service standards, unit‑wide outcomes, business processes and reporting requirements and take corrective action as required. Create and utilize tools and processes (team meetings, on‑one supervisory meetings, data tracking and progress reporting, etc.)
  • Assess individual and team capacity to deliver high‑quality work, identify skills and experience gaps, and develop training plans to enhance staff capacity to meet current and emerging operational needs
  • Establish strong anti‑oppression, CA , and equity practices within the team and mentor/coaches staff to apply them in a continuous learning
