About the Role
Reporting to the Global Reliability Excellence Program Manager, this critical global leadership role within the Asset Management Centre of Excellence will drive the Reliability Excellence program, develop global standards, and enhance asset performance across our Mining, Refining and Smelting operations. The role will partner with technical and operational teams across regions, embed best practices, and deliver measurable safety, productivity and cost outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and continuously improve the global Reliability Excellence framework with a focus on training and standards.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on Reliability Management, Work Management and Materials Management.
- Support implementation and governance of the Global Reliability Excellence program, ensuring alignment with strategy and consistent execution across sites.
- Drive initiatives that optimize safety, asset performance, productivity, and total cost across global operations.
- Partner with regional teams to develop and execute implementation plans and monitor performance.
- Support tools and processes to manage total MRO spend, including cost‑optimization initiatives and risk management.
- Contribute to annual and long‑term planning cycles, embedding productivity improvements and asset strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on standards, contract management and capability development.
- Develop and deliver global training programs and learning strategies for key reliability and maintenance roles.
- Provide cross‑functional expertise across Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Safety and Environment.
- Support continuous improvement of maintenance strategies to enhance asset reliability and plant lifecycle performance.
- Degree in Engineering (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded).
- Extensive experience in asset management, maintenance, and reliability within mining, refining or smelting environments.
- Proven experience in a global or multi‑site technical leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical asset systems.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate and build relationships across diverse teams and cultures.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Experience in training development, standards implementation and process improvement.
- Consultative leadership style with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
