Position: Relocation-Ready Store Manager in Training

Manager In Training (MIT) is responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing all sales, accounting, service and collection activities at the single-store level; delegation of certain elements of each priority to trained employees; controlling in-store programs and plans to meet company objectives and assigned store quotas; and organizing and conducting a planned program of continuous training for all store employees.

Prior experience as assistant manager, general manager, store manager, auto dealership, automotive retail, auto sales, retail management, retail manager is very helpful to the success at this job. But is not a requirement.

Requirements/Responsibilities
Requirements:
To qualify, the MIT must understand that opportunity rarely comes in their existing store or city. Most of our growth will be western states like Texas and Oklahoma and New Mexico (there could be other options not tied to these markets). The MIT will have to agree to relocate when called upon. If MIT chooses not to locate to store that management offers.

The MIT will be removed from the program and return to their regular position in the store if available.
* The store GM will be responsible for the following training:a. Cross train the MIT in each department, Sales, Accounts, and Shop.
* The MIT will first and foremost be required to promote and push sales.b. Teach the MIT to be proficient in the policies, processes and workings of each department.c. Train the MIT on the managers duties, including, but not limited to:
• Proper file completion
• How to do inventory
• How to file and track protection claims
• How to properly log Payroll
• How to hold the Friday morning meeting
• How to place orders
• How to contact operations for fixes
• What forms are needed by corporate office, PAF, etc.

Understand the monthly P&Ls.7. The MIT will also shadow our sales and account specialist and home office.
8. They will spend time shadowing our sales directors, account directors, home office, and marketing/ internet sales department.
9. They will learn the basics of driving sales with outbound lead calls, Gorilla marketing using flyers, goal setting and tracking, the art of creating excitement in the store, difficult account collection processes, home office procedures and understanding marketing, internet sales and pipeline.
