Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing, and managing a diverse array of projects, people, and tasks
- Leading technical teams to ensure the quality, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of deliverables
- Maintaining, establishing, and developing client relationships that facilitate the successful delivery of projects and future opportunities
- Understanding environmental Best Management Practices and advising clients accordingly
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with other consultants, construction contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders
- Supporting corporate business development initiatives, including compiling and reporting on regional business development opportunities
- Leading and/or supporting the preparation of proposals and cost estimates
- Maintaining and enhancing Triton’s industry wide reputation as a leader in the environmental consulting industry
- Providing mentorship and training for project staff
- Providing excellent service to clients, building and maintaining strong, lasting relationships
- Ensuring safety standards are met, protecting your team and clients
- Collaborating effectively within Triton’s culture, contributing to a positive and productive work environment
- Degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., biology, environmental science, geology, geography) is an asset
- Professional designation or eligibility is preferred
- Experience working within the environmental consulting industry
- Knowledge of and experience with provincial and federal environmental standards, and regulations or guidelines
- Demonstrated experience in project management (i.e., budgeting, project tracking, cost-accounting and scope control) and leading and supervising of project teams
- Business development acumen (e.g., client relationships, strategic planning, proposal writing)
- A quick learner, easily adapting to new software applications, systems, and business processes
- Effective writing skills and ability to produce meaningful reports and proposals
- Organized and self-managed, with a collaborative working style
- Strong problem solver able to address challenges with effective solutions that improve systems and/or relationships, and with strong strategic thinking skills
Wages are commensurate with experience and qualifications, with approximate wage ranges as follows:
Junior: $39 to $45 per hour
Intermediate: $45 to $60 per hour

This position is ideally based in our Terrace, BC office. At Triton, we value a collaborative team environment and support a hybrid work schedule (typically three days per week in the office). We also encourage applications from candidates based in Prince Rupert, Kitimat, or surrounding areas. Remote work arrangements, with occasional travel to the Terrace office, may be considered.
