ABOUT THE ROAD SAFETY COMMISSIONThe Road Safety Commission exists to make every journey safe for all Western Australians. We change behaviour with insight, using evidence and data to help change people’s attitudes and behaviours and are powered by the community for the community.
The Road Safety Commission is in an expansion phase with increased funding for both new and existing programs. We are seeking a suitable candidate to support, lead and guide corporate services functions and activities across finance, human resources, information technology and governance through this exciting time.
You will have a unique opportunity to build the capability of the Corporate Services team to support this expansion.
The position is available for appointment for 12 months with a possibility of permanency.
THE ROLEAs a member of the senior leadership group at the Road Safety Commission, the role is responsible for:
- Working collaboratively in supporting the implementation of change management and capability build initiatives.
- Providing strategic oversight of corporate services and leading improvements to business processes and procedures.
- Managing relationships with key government agencies and stakeholders to build an effective network of strategic partnerships.
- Leading and coordinating financial strategy, management and reporting.
- Implementing and maintaining corporate governance frameworks and policies.
- Leading government and agency wide corporate services projects.
- Employer contribution of 12% superannuation in addition to your salary.
- 20 days of annual leave (pro rata for part time).
- Annual leave loading payment in December of each year.
- 13 weeks (pro rata) paid long service leave for every seven years of consecutive service.
- 15 days personal leave each year (pro rata for part time).
- 3 days public service holiday.
- 14 weeks paid parental leave after 12 months of continuous service.

Leadership ability - Leading, directing and managing strategic business initiatives. Promoting a work environment that empowers, motivates and develops staff. Providing direction for corporate strategies and initiatives.
Strategic planning ability - Contributing to strategic planning, policy development, implementation and evaluation. Managing human, physical and financial functions including leading the development of organisational budgets.
Communication and interpersonal skills - Preparing complex reports, briefings, contracts and recommendations. Building high level relationships and networks to achieve positive outcomes. Liaising, negotiating and gaining the cooperation of senior executives and external key stakeholders.
