Job DescriptionThe Project Manager of Operations has an integral role in supporting operations and execution in US Retail. This position requires strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of retail store operations.
This position is responsible for partnering cross-functionally within the Home Office and field to ensure programs are easily executed, communicated properly, and aligned with current retail objectives. Primary areas of focus and partnership include all product merchants for Technology, Core Supplies and Furniture and by extension the Promo, Planogram and signage teams. The Project Manager of Operations will work with the Workload Management team to ensure all projects within their scope are properly presented for timing and prioritization.

Key Responsibilities- Partner with business owners (merchants) to operationalize initiatives.
- Develop process improvements to simplify the business.
- Lead communication of business updates and objectives.
- Leverage business results and program feedback to support growth.
- Utilize field feedback to address opportunities.
- Partner with field leaders to drive execution of activities under scope.
- Provide support to field for any program issues.
- Represent National Operations to support training development supporting program launches.
Partner with technology team to develop tools and that support store execution.
Program Roll Outs- Ensure partner activities align with Staples business priorities and execution considerations are made with focus on Staples labor models.
- Work with communications to review and streamline field messaging.
- Use appropriate vehicles to drive field adoption and execution.
- Maintain business related How to Guides resource materials as well as training documentation.
- 7-10+ years minimum experience.
- Strong knowledge of Staples and or Retail Operations.
- Excellent analytical skills.

- Results oriented individual with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills across functional areas.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
