As the Director of Prevention and Mitigation, you will spearhead essential initiatives under the Fire Smart Canada program. This senior management position will focus on enhancing program effectiveness, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring successful execution of the Canadian Wildland Fire Prevention Strategy. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering collaboration and community resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Prevention and Mitigation Division initiatives
• Implement the national wildfire prevention strategy
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and partners
• Manage recruitment and team performance
• Conduct research for member agency needs
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in risk, emergency management, or equivalent
• At least 7 years in leadership positions
• Strong interpersonal skills with stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft tools and presentations
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
