This job includes 25-50% travel. Most trips are just a few days, around the Midwest and a few Eastern states, and home on weekends. They offer a company credit card for travel. 100% of travel costs are paid for.

Description for Project Manager

This role is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of our largest and most complex field projects, from initial planning through to completion. The ideal candidate is a Project Manager who has handled numerous multi‑million dollar field projects at any given time and worked directly with end users as well as national General and Mechanical contractors. The Project Manager will work closely with internal teams, customers, and contractors to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

for Project Manager
  • Coordinate the project schedule, resources, and budget ensuring the project is executed on time and within scope for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare comprehensive project plans including marked up drawings, procedures, and specification modifications.
  • Manage multiple projects at different stages simultaneously.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders. Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Maintain detailed records of project progress, including project timelines, change orders, financials, and performance metrics. Provide regular status reports to clients and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies early in the project lifecycle. Proactively address any issues that could impact on the project's timeline, quality, or budget.
  • Manage subcontractors including generating RFPs, issuing POs, and coordinating schedules.
  • Review contracts and other project documentation to ensure that scope is clearly defined.
  • Coordinate with operations leaders to ensure the field technicians are available and adequately trained to meet the project specific requirements.
  • Provide project conceptualization support to sales and estimation.
  • Serve as a mentor for Associate Project Managers.
  • Models Astro Pak’s core values in their leadership.
  • Complete all the required training.
  • Remains current with, and comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures including ability to put on and use appropriate PPE.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Requirements for Project Manager
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management for large construction projects.
  • Experience with piping system commissioning (hydronic flushing, passivation etc.) preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Data Center, or Semiconductor construction preferred.
  • 30hr OSHA preferred.
  • Must be able to manage workload and time effectively while prioritizing tasks to be consistently productive.
  • Capability to analyze situations and make timely decisions using good judgment, clear logic, and common sense.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, customer relationship management (CRM) software, and project management/scheduling software.
  • Strong financial acumen to manage project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize costs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities.
  • Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment.
  • Skilled at supervising and mentoring other individuals.
  • Must be able to perform analysis of historical data for development of conceptualization metrics/factors and cost proposal justification.
  • Legal capacity to comply with federally mandated requirements of the U.S. Export Control Laws.
