The Role at a GlanceAs a Director of EDI Management & API Integrations, you will be responsible for ensuring alignment with the department, division, and enterprise vision for EDI. You will have oversight of 45+ Associates ranging from Service Processor to Sr. Consultant with Managers and Supervisors supporting teams. You will provide direction and oversee all EDI, API and Electronic File Exchange processing and administration ensuring service delivery is accurate, timely and meets all internal service levels.
Whatyou'll be doing
- Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends to assess the impact and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions; direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department; provide subject matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects.
- Establish and implement priorities, performance goals, and objectives to ensure group results; direct and provide leadership to continually improve the capability and results.
- Direct all EDI, API and Electronic File Exchange processing and administration ensuring the service delivery is accurate, timely and meets all internal service levels.
- Collaborate with Leadership on the development of all service levels; collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate and ensure an understanding of the key service differentiators between Lincoln and its competitors.
- Perform root cause analysis of escalated issues to proactively prevent issues/concerns going forward; provide EDI, API and Electronic File Exchange subject matter expertise and guidance to team members on complex escalated inquiries and/or concerns; review and resolve complex EDI, API and Electronic File Exchange escalated issues and concerns.
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's).
- 7+ Years of experience in Eligibility Management and/or employee transaction processes including significant experience with EDI, API and Electronic File Exchange.
- 3+ Years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal/external clients with proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
- Ability to think critically, analyze information and evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
- Demonstrated strong project management leadership skills including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time‑sensitive environment, under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Deep expertise in:
- EDI transactions (834, 820, 835, 837)
- API frameworks (REST, JSON)
- Experience partnering with:
- Employers
- Brokers/consultants
- Payroll vendors
- Benefits platforms
- Group insurance operations & service experience.
