Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) supports Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and their families by providing programs designed to enhance mental, social, physical, financial and familial well‑being. Services include recreation, sports and fitness programs, financial services, retail services, savings and discounts, family support and charitable events.
Role OverviewAs an Enterprise Project Manager you will lead enterprise‑level initiatives that support CFMWS strategic priorities, with a current focus on Position Management and Organizational Design. You will use the established Project Management Framework to manage projects from initiation to close, ensuring alignment with business objectives, stakeholder needs and organizational outcomes.
Responsibilities- Define project scope, goals and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
- Track and manage project risks, issues and trade‑offs.
- Estimate resources and competencies required, negotiating for engagement with the business.
- Develop full‑scale project plans, status reports, communication documents and budgets.
- Liaise with stakeholders and assign tasks and responsibilities to the project team.
- Provide recommendations on the way forward based on evaluation of project size, complexity, cost, urgency, risk and stakeholder value.
- College diploma or certificate in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Progressive management experience in a related field or relevant industry.
- Experience in project resource planning, prioritization, reporting and budget management.
- Experience managing enterprise‑level corporate projects and programs.
- Experience in project scope, change, risk and issue management.
- Experience with vendor management and Request for Proposal (RFP) development.
- Experience in project audit, governance and performance monitoring.
- Experience in business analysis, requirements definition and solution development.
- Experience in HR transformation, e.g., position management, organizational design.
- Experience with project portfolio management tools such as Clarity PPM.
- Experience in a public sector or Crown Corporation environment.
