What drives your day-to-day?

  • Ensure all financial accounts are reconciled accurately and on time, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, payroll, manufacturer statements, intercompany accounts, and vehicle deal commissions.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements.
  • Analyze financial results and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance.
  • Review and maintain dealership contracts and financial agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Attend leadership meetings and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and business planning discussions.
  • Collaborate with Home Office and dealership leadership teams on financial and operational initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
  • Support year-end reporting, audits, and other financial projects as required.

What are the must-haves?

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Previous automotive dealership accounting experience is required.
  • CPA designation.
  • Previous leadership experience overseeing or managing an accounting team.
  • Strong understanding of dealership accounting processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and highly organized with a strong business acumen.

The Perks:

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Hybrid work arrangement.
  • Health and Dental Benefits.
  • Paid vacation.
  • Employee Vehicle Purchase Program.
  • Employee and Family Assistance Program.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • Career growth opportunities within Auto Canada's extensive dealer network.
  • A collaborative leadership environment where your contributions make a meaningful impact.

And those are just the basics. We strive every day to create a workplace culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity, ensures fairness and equal opportunities, and fosters a sense of belonging for all Team Members. As an equal opportunity employer, we actively support everyone in expressing themselves and reaching their full potential.

Our commitment extends to reaching out to individuals from various backgrounds and identities.
