Position Overview
Finance Lead – Munition Acceleration Multi‑Year contract for SM‑3 IIA. Based in Tucson, AZ, the role is hybrid, requiring on‑site presence at our facility as well as remote work. The key responsibility is to provide financial guidance and control for a high‑growth, multi‑year defense program, ensuring program execution, strong business controls, and compliance with DoD contracting regulations.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of 4+ finance professionals across the United States, coaching, mentoring, and developing staff.
- Partner with the SM‑3 IIA Program Leader, SM‑3 CFO, and functional partners to drive predictable financial outcomes, program growth, and execution.
- Implement rigorous financial controls and manage a large portfolio of munitions acceleration contracts.
- Oversee EACs, EVMS, and AOP/LRP execution to achieve program objectives.
- Provide recommendation‑based analysis and proactive oversight to meet financial and business goals across the program area.
- Coordinate with SM‑3 Director, Program Directors, Customer PCO/EVMS managers, DCMA, Supply Chain, Operations, and Contracts Managers.
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent). 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with at least 7 years experience.
- Experience managing staff and leading business teams.
- U.S. citizenship required; must obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, and government contracting (DoD or Aerospace).
- Experience with program proposal strategy, negotiations, performance‑based payment (PBP) strategy, and price modeling for variance in quantity (VIQ).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proactive, creative, innovative, with critical and strategic thinking.
- Strong analytical, problem‑identification, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to influence others, work collaboratively, and develop talent.
- Salary: $132,400 – $251,600 USD (2026 estimate).
