Lead Product Manager

• Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.
• Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.
• Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.
• Recognized subject matter expert with specialized knowledge in the function.
• Manages large projects or processes.
• Limited oversight from manager. Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.
• Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
• Provides solutions to a variety of advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
• May be the in-house expert on specific technologies or within the job function area. Complete understanding and wide application of advanced technical principles, theories and concepts in a specialized field.
• Possess broad knowledge of professional field and other related functions.
• Goals are provided to the incumbent in form of desired results. Determines and develops approach to solve functional area related issues.
• Enhanced level understanding of the department and the role that it plays in supporting the organization.
• Is able to easily work with other departments to determine strategy and processes.
• Seeks new ways to improve department and function within the company. Regularly provides insight into complex issues and for complex department questions.
• Either sets or participates in department goal setting. Regularly provides direction for junior staff members.
• Compensation ,000 plus bonus and equity

Has advanced technical knowledge and has some knowledge in related disciplines. Possesses the strongest skills acquired through advanced training, study and experience. May possess a four year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 8 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience.
