Family Resource Center Manager

Responsible for day-to-day operations and all programmatic support from multiple funding sources at the Family Resource Center serving primarily families with children 0-18, including program planning, special events and outreach, and supervision of Family Resource Center staff including the Family Engagement Coordinator, four Family Support staff and one School Liaison. Serve as volunteer and intern coordinator for Family Resource Center activities.

Work directly with families as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Family Resource Center including master calendar, scheduling, program planning, special events, special projects, publicity, outreach, creation, and distribution of the monthly newsletter, and creation of policies and operating procedures. Work directly with families as needed.
  • Support Family Resource Center (FRC) contract compliance with the Family Resource Center Program Director to complete monthly, quarterly and year end reporting; data collection and quantitative and narrative reports.
  • Support contract compliance with the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) contract, and the Parent Child Plus contract.
  • Support database management, monitoring of measurable outcomes and ongoing program evaluation.
  • Coordinate volunteers and interns for Family Resource Center location, including recruitment, application documentation, orientation, and tracking.
  • Participate in meetings and training as required by funders or assigned by Director.
  • Build and maintain a strong collaborative network of community service providers.
  • Develop effective collaborative relationships with other Community Action programs involved in providing services at the Family Resource Center.
  • Participate in program development and assessment to ensure that services are responsive to community/family needs and are in compliance with all relevant funding and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant reports, applications, and proposals, as assigned.
  • Required to work some evenings and weekends, flexible schedule required at times.
  • Facilitate and attend staff meetings, supervision, and other meetings, as required.
  • Supervise personnel in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Select, train/orient, and supervise a team of staff across multiple office locations, including hybrid remote work.
  • Inspire and motivate others to achieve increasing levels of performance excellence.
  • Take an active leadership role in valuing and promoting different perspectives and opinions and approaches. Supervise the program and personnel in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate team members' job performance and recommend compensation, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Occasional remote work is available complying with the agency's policy.
  • Required to travel regularly throughout the service area and occasionally out of the service area.
  • Attend regularly scheduled supervision meetings, department-wide and leadership team meetings, mandatory agency training, and participate in professional development activities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Perform related work as required.

    Qualifications/Skills

    • Proficient computer skills: using a mouse, email, Microsoft office, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel and email/internet platforms.

    • Ability to adapt to communication and presentation to meet the needs of the audience, including a wide variety of employers, social service providers, and participants.
