Job Overview
Directly supervise and motivate Field Service Representatives (FSR) to provide top quality service for their stores by accomplishing the following tasks:
- Work hands on with one FSR on one route per day.
- Schedule and conduct weekly conference calls to train, instruct, and direct field service representatives.
- Schedule and conduct in-store training on safety and job performance for new hires and existing employees.
- Resolve all issues in the stores related to Woodgrain Distribution.
- Conduct continual FSR performance evaluations and is responsible for all disciplinary actions up to and including termination for FSRs.
- Recruitment duties for your area including screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
Shift work: primarily M‑F days. Overtime is a requirement based on territory demands.
Travel:
This is a remote position with required travel to stores daily and some overnight travel time to cover outlying areas in the region. This isn’t a desk job!
- A Bachelor’s degree or technical undergraduate degree required and/or two to four years of management or supervisory experience.
- The ideal candidate must be willing to relocate to the service area as needed.
Physical demands described: employee must regularly talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach; sit; frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds; vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus; noise level usually moderate; hazards include forklifts, moving freight and other mechanical hazards.
