Global Regulatory Manager Food Additive/Fungicide - South Africa, Cape TownLocation: South Africa, Cape Town – Epping
What the Role Delivers
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Regulatory Manager specialized in fungicides/food additive registrations to develop and oversee the global regulatory affairs for our SO2 products. The role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and approvals across international markets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop global regulatory strategy for new SO2 products and support registration in targeted markets.
- Assess cost and timing for core data package development.
- Coordinate and monitor product/active ingredient studies with CROs.
- Lead and manage regulatory submissions, including dossier preparation, timelines, and approvals in key global markets.
- Participate in agency meetings supporting regional managers.
- Build and manage annual regulatory SO2 project budgets.
- Work with operations on sourcing of active ingredients.
- Engage with suppliers on regulatory activities.
- Stay updated on global regulatory changes affecting Agro Fresh products.
- Assess food trade possibilities and opportunities to improve MRLs, etc.
- Act as key point of contact with regulatory agencies and industry groups.
- Maintain accurate record keeping on product and active ingredient studies in Agro Fresh database.

- Advanced degree in a related technical area (Toxicology, Residue Chemistry, etc.).
- 5‑7 years of ag regulatory experience. Master’s required;
Ph.D. preferred. - Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with pesticide registration requirements in key agencies.
- Experience representing the company with main agencies and industry associations.
- Successful development of product data package in key territories (USA, Europe, Brazil, China).
- Experience monitoring studies with contract research laboratories.
- Strong interpersonal, influence, networking, and communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and experience working with commercial organizations.
- High level of safety and ethical integrity.
- Proficiency in English required.
- Commitment to improving freshness, reducing waste, and enhancing quality of produce.
