We are looking for a Manager, Procurement to lead a high‑performance team in the Supply Chain organization. The role focuses on procurement activities that support the Raytheon business unit, collaborating with external suppliers and internal customers across a broad portfolio of programs.
Responsibilities- Supervise a team of acquisition professionals, managing workloads, setting goals, overseeing performance development and ensuring compliance with PO packages and supplier/internal customer issues.
- Manage escalations and resolve internal customer and supplier issues.
- Oversee financial goals related to subcontract deliveries.
- Drive success metrics, including PR to PO cycle time, late-to-dock, and delinquent material.
- Develop cost‑reduction initiatives and performance improvements (technical and quality).
- Perform subcontract management of purchase orders using integrated supply‑chain models.
- Prepare solicitations (RFQ, RFP, RFI), analyze quotations/proposals, develop negotiation strategies, and lead formal negotiations on price, delivery, and terms.
- Place high‑value purchase orders and manage procurement complexity.
- Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation plans and solutions.
- Travel to RTX and supplier facilities as required.
- University degree or equivalent experience; minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
- Experience in procurement and supply‑chain management strategies, processes, and procedures.
- Supervisory and leadership experience leading teams.
- Experience with written contractual vehicles (e.g., Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus).
- Compliance experience with government contracting (FAR/DFARS) or in a heavily regulated industry.
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Finance, or STEM field.
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
- Ability to analyze cost and pricing data, determine proposal compliance, and understand technical requirements of procured hardware and services.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive successful outcomes.
- Practical knowledge of leading and managing execution of processes, projects, and tactics within a work area.
- Competitive salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
