- Act as a strategic partner to national, regional, and local operating unit leadership and assist with business performance management.
- Drive growth by accelerating revenue and EBITDA, increasing operating efficiencies, and creating competitive advantage in client service offerings.
- Develop and manage the corporate reporting and financial planning & analysis structure, establishing clear roles and responsibilities.
- Lead the 5‑year plan development and tracking, including annual operating plans, recurring forecasts, and multi‑year long‑range plans.
- Partner with industry‑leading client financial management teams in our Shared Services model, optimizing structure, recruiting/cultivating talent, and inspiring a large team.
- Ensure proper controls, policies, and procedures are in place to mitigate financial and reputational risk.
- Work closely with local market leadership and operational teams to align operations and financial management.
- Own end‑to‑end P&L for the North Region business and execute financial performance management processes with national partners.
- Provide thought leadership in cost‑reduction opportunities, emerging technologies, and best practices for facilities and equipment.
- Provide data on client pricing and contract adjustments to inform leadership and ensure accurate billing in accordance with contracts.
- Lead the evaluation and integration of company acquisitions.
- Manage the capital budget, forecast, and approval process, including office/furniture/IT capital spending and lease negotiations.
- Supervise employee incentive programs, including leadership bonus plans, equity pool, and commission/incentive plans.
- Manage corporate office operations, lease renewals, financial analysis, capacity planning, and geographic evaluations.
- Develop and maintain a 3‑5‑year regional roadmap for technology and process adoption.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business; MBA/CPA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, operational finance, and accounting; proven operational finance partner for large‑scale or regional operations.
- Strong operational financial partnership, change‑management, and leadership skills.
- Excellent oral presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑technical audiences.
- Strategic thinker who can prioritize, use sound judgment, and make decisions.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and business results.
- Ability to navigate and build relationships within a large corporation, including legal and risk areas (insurance, workers’ compensation).
- Experience with acquisition evaluations, due diligence, Pro‑formas, and integrations.
- Action oriented, self‑assigned ownership, and ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business; MBA/CPA preferred; 15+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, operational finance, and accounting.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesUp to ten direct reports across the above areas of responsibility.
Travel & Working EnvironmentTravel to markets in the Region and corporate head office as required—Canada and USA. Full‑time executive level position with typical scheduled hours, Monday through Friday. Hybrid work from home opportunity is available and hours over and above normal office hours may occur, including evenings, holidays, and some weekends. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
