RIGHT-OF-WAY MANAGER

Location:
Wisconsin – Remote (Hybrid office/work from home options available)
This position leads a Right‑of‑Way Department, managing staff, sub‑contractors, budgets and client relationships.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a team of professionals, including oversight, work planning, and team meetings
- Performance management of direct reports
- Setting, tracking and reporting team goals
- Organizing and prioritizing department business
- Client communications and relationship management
- All aspects of project management: scheduling, workflow, budgeting, quality control, and project closeout
- Leading multifaceted project teams (survey, engineering, construction, vegetation management, environmental, etc.)
- Large and complex acquisition and real‑estate projects
- Project databases and file management
- Project cost analysis and bid development
- Compliance with all applicable local, state and federal requirements and statutes
- Project workflow coordination, database and spatial application management
- Landowner meetings, stakeholder public meetings/hearings and construction support to infrastructure projects
- Contract work with Utility and Renewable Energy Companies in all aspects of acquisitions and project management
- Landowner agreements to secure land rights, settle damage claims and provide construction support
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS, LICENSURE, AND CERTIFICATIONS- 8+ years in right‑of‑way acquisition and project management, including electric transmission or other linear acquisition projects
- People leadership and staff development experience
- Budget, forecasting and financial management experience
- Contract and subcontractor management experience
- Complete understanding of title reports, acquisition documents, survey exhibits and other real‑estate related documents
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects, meeting client and statutory deadlines
- Licensed Wisconsin Real Estate Agent (or willingness to obtain license)
- Ability to work independently in varied and remote settings
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of ArcGIS and Google Earth
- Ability to travel and conduct overnight work away
- Capability to work outside normal business hours when required
- Current valid driver’s license with personal vehicle suitable for field work
- Strong collaboration, accountability, and high organizational standards
Remote‑friendly hybrid work model. Preference for candidates local to project areas; ability to work remotely for extended periods across the United States, primarily in the Midwest.
COMPENSATIONSalary commensurate with experience.
