The Senior Vice President, Business Operations is a full-time, hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees day-to-day business operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, financial oversight, and resource allocation to support the initiative’s mission. The Senior Vice President will lead operational and program management activities, optimize processes, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Responsibilities include developing and tracking performance metrics, collaborating with research and policy teams, managing vendor and partner relationships, and maintaining compliance with internal controls. The role also involves mentoring team members, contributing to long-term organizational strategy, and presenting operational insights to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Strong business operations and operations management skills to oversee organizational systems, workflows, and resource utilization.
- Robust analytical skills and finance expertise to manage budgets, interpret financial data, and support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Program management experience, including planning, execution, risk management, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Proven leadership abilities, including team management, stakeholder communication, and change management in mission‑driven environments.
- Experience in or exposure to the financial services sector, public policy, or nonprofit initiatives focused on industry reform is highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex operational and financial information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public policy, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, MPP, or similar) is preferred.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a hybrid environment and collaborate with diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
