Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director, Paid Search to lead a portfolio of client accounts as the senior, day‑to‑day owner of the client relationship and growth agenda. The role requires aligning client strategy with business goals, managing financial health, and driving cross‑channel growth in partnership with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own executive client relationships and growth agenda: align strategy to P&L, inventory, and customer journey; set trade‑offs and secure decisions during QBRs and steering committees.
  • Align full‑funnel search plans to business goals, anticipating issues and driving escalations to resolution.
  • Lead onboarding, transitions, escalations, renewals/expansion, and support new business with clear narratives tied to impact.
  • Orchestrate automation and platform strategy (value‑based bidding, Performance Max) across accounts; set guardrails and adoption standards.
  • Integrate Bliss Point insights (Rapid MMM, Incrementality, Brand Equity, Creative Insights, Forecasting, Customer Insights) into allocation and testing; close feedback loops with Product and Analytics.
  • Institutionalize hypothesis‑driven planning: set test roadmaps, decision thresholds, and governance.
  • Ensure data quality (tags, feeds, UTM/GA4) and communicate model caveats.
  • Drive accountability for outcomes (KPIs, Rocks), eliminate waste, and accelerate adoption of best practices.
  • Build and lead a high‑performing team: set goals, conduct 1:1s, provide timely feedback, and develop succession pipeline.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in Paid Search/Shopping with proven results at scale (>$1M monthly).
  • 5+ years managing B2B client relationships and campaigns at the executive level.
  • 3+ years providing people leadership, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft Ads, Merchant Center, SA360/Skai, and competitive tools (Auction Insights, Adthena/Spy Fu).
  • Cross‑channel literacy: ability to connect Paid Search to SEO, Social, Commerce/Retail Media, TVAD, and Creative.
  • Financial acumen in margin, utilization, capacity management, and forecasting.
  • Experience with GA4, experiment design, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Technical proficiency in scripts/workflow automation and integration of Bliss Point insights.
  • Strong executive‑ready storytelling, risk framing, and change leadership skills.
  • Google Ads Search and Shopping certification required; additional Google certifications a plus (can be completed within 60 days).
