Position: Associate, Operations (East Branch) - Northeast TX/OK

Associate, Operations (East Branch) – Northeast TX/OK

Location:

Remote – preferably based within the Dallas‑Fort Worth Metro Area, within Northeast Texas (TX), or Oklahoma (OK).

Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking an Associate, Operations (East Branch) to join TR’s Programs Domestic Operations – East Branch team. This role collaborates across teams, manages competing priorities, and keeps stakeholders informed.

General Duties
  • Execute TR’s strategy to enhance our ability to respond rapidly and locally to disasters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with disaster assistance organizations at the state, county, and city levels.
  • Support the program delivery of the leadership lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, and development of Greyshirt volunteer leaders.
  • Handle purchasing and expenses per the Branch budget plan and approve events in the system.
  • Provide emergency operations center (EOC) support and disaster response coordination across relevant agencies as needed.
Disaster Response Coordination Duties
  • Provide direct support in coordinating response activities with local, state, federal, and non‑governmental agencies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing disaster response strategies, ensuring resources are deployed efficiently.
  • Facilitate communication between field operations, the EOC, and external stakeholders.
Education and Background
  • 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management, or first responder fields.
  • Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers.
  • Proficiency with technology tools and experience in remote working to communicate and coordinate with a large network of TR staff, Grey shirts, and external stakeholders.
Special Requirements
  • Full‑time remote position preferably based within the Dallas‑Fort Worth Metro Area, within Northeast Texas (north of Abilene & east of Waco), or anywhere in Oklahoma; flexible & non‑traditional work schedule.
  • Evening and weekend schedule supporting leadership meetings, video conferences, events, and operations.
  • Local travel: reliable transportation required to support ongoing efforts within the local area.
  • Other travel: at least 25% non‑local travel to support broader organizational activities focused within the assigned territory.

$48,936.25 – $68,608.08 per year
