Overview
The COLUMBIA Class Program Office is seeking a program representative to support efforts required to track CLIN
1000 financial performance. The program representative will understand and manage tasks associated with cost containment initiatives (CCIs) and Class Lead Yard Support (CLYS) tasking. In the Program Office you will interface with multiple organizations, including design, engineering, planning, finance, contracts, construction, facilities, and PMS
397. As the design work for COLUMBIA ramps down, follow-on ship support and design changes in the form of tasks are increasing. Efficient resource transitions and proper performance on remaining work are needed to meet Program goals.
The selected candidate will be responsible for working with engineering managers to coordinate, evaluate, and manage cost to complete for remaining scope for COLUMBIA. The candidate will work with members of the program office and program finance to understand the contract and help guide proper charging for remaining work. The selected candidate will learn and understand the process and importance of properly scoping work and planning for the resource loading required to complete work for all design and engineering organizations working on COLUMBIA.
This position requires a highly motivated self-starter who possesses strong communications skills and has an eagerness to learn. Work hours are somewhat flexible with occasional work from home, when needed.
- Acting as the point of contact for financial performance status, providing reports to the Design Program Office Director and EB senior management
- Participating in a highly functional, interdisciplinary task team that adheres to quality, cost, and schedule requirements
- Preparation and leading meetings to assess progress, challenges, and resolution plans for manpower and remaining work
- Creating and analyzing program metrics, identifying issues and driving required corrective actions
- Resolving technical and funding issues to ensure programmatic roadblocks are removed
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- 5+ years of Contract experience working with Program Office, Design, Engineering, and Program Finance
- Experience in project management, team leadership, and resource planning
Preferred:
- Active Secret clearance
- Familiarity with using Power BI to analyze data
- Strong knowledge of EVM, Data Management, and ARTEMIS
- Understanding of the different CLB Contract CLINs and manpower planning
- Highly motivated, self-starter capable of prioritizing work
- A strong work ethic and highly developed communication and written skills
