Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple’s largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive.
To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for someone to help us do extraordinary things. The Planning and Portfolio Management Team provides planning and stewardship of a large portfolio of projects across the Retail organization. We work closely with project managers, leadership and other parts of Apple to craft a strategic, synchronized plan that helps the Retail Organization realize its goals.

We are looking for someone who has demonstrated excellence in planning and portfolio management. The ideal person will be able to effectively lead a team of planning professionals and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders. You are strategically minded, an excellent communicator, and analytical.
Responsibilities- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of planning professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence
- Own the strategic planning and stewardship of a large, complex portfolio of projects across the Retail organization, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities
- Proactively identify risks, conflicts, and dependencies across the portfolio before they become blockers – bringing solutions to maximize throughput and business benefit.
- Drive continuous improvement of planning processes and frameworks, designing systems that are resilient, scalable, and built to flex with ambiguity.
- Develop and deliver quantitative insights on the health, performance, and progress of the portfolio – enabling data‑driven decision making while evolving reporting into forward‑looking, predictive portfolio intelligence.
- Champion a dynamic and adaptive planning approach that keeps pace with the evolving needs of the Retail organization
- 7+ years managing large, dynamic project portfolios
- 3+ years leading a portfolio management, planning or PMO team
- Experience working with Engineering and technology teams
- Strong understanding of data analysis, forecasting and reporting methodologies
- Proven ability to take initiative, foster trust and build strong, productive relationships, with cross‑functional teams and partners
- Experience leading executive level strategic discussions
- Experience working effectively in a highly‑matrixed organization across timezones
- Preferred project management professional (PMP) or portfolio management professional (PfMP) certification
- BA/BS in Business Administration or related field or relevant professional experience
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $155,700 and $280,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
