You’ll lead a team of highly technical operators responsible for the systems, automation, and operational infrastructure that power Brex’s Operations organization s role sits at the center of some of Brex’s most critical functions — including Risk, Compliance, Payment Operations, Servicing, and Banking Operations — partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, and Operations leaders to solve complex business problems.

This is both a strategic and hands‑on leadership role. You’ll define the long‑term vision for how Brex scales operationally while directly driving execution on high‑impact systems, workflows, and AI‑powered tooling. Your team will play a central role in transforming traditional operations into AI‑native organizations through intelligent automation, agentic workflows, decision infrastructure, and scalable internal platforms.

You’ll help answer foundational questions such as:

• How should operational work be redesigned in an AI‑native world?
• How do we increase efficiency and automation while maintaining strong customer experience and risk controls?
• How do we build systems that create leverage across rapidly scaling operational teams?

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of operational systems and AI transformation at Brex.

This role will be based in our San Francisco office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!

Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team of technical operators, ensuring high‑quality delivery of operational systems and automation tools across Risk, Compliance, Payment Operations, Servicing, and Banking Operations.
