Associate University Registrar

Responsible for the management, leadership and direction of the University Registrar's Office, Academic Advising Centre, Info Carleton and for the timely and accurate delivery of registrarial information and services to students and the university community.
Qualifications
Knowledge of leadership practices in people management, strategic planning and risk management, policy development, financial management and stakeholder relationship management.
Familiarity with issues and trends at Carleton and in the higher education sector related to the functions of the University Registrar’s Office, Academic Advising Centre and Info Carleton services.
Knowledge of academic policy and regulations, including records, registration, petition and appeals, academic evaluation and convocation.
Knowledge of the broad university and its specific academic programs and student support services.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and government directives.
Understanding of contemporary best practices in RO systems and service delivery models.
Ability to deploy knowledge to develop and lead a major functional area within the university.
Education and Experience
Completion of a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of ten years of previous experience in progressive leadership roles.

Health and Safety Requirements
This position is regularly required to work on campus in person. In the event of a public health emergency or a health and safety issue, it is possible that you may be required to work temporarily remotely. If this happens, you will work with your direct manager to set up a remote work environment and ensure all Carleton property is safeguarded.
