Job Summary
The Epic Inpatient Orders Team Manager is responsible for leading a team of 5 full‑time analysts and 2 contractors, assigning work to Inpatient Orders analysts, prioritizing and planning for future enhancements and projects. The manager leads the Provider workstream for the Clarksville Hospital Go‑Live and will lead similar work groups for future implementations. The Orders team supports Epic build, testing, and implementation of inpatient consults and procedures, inpatient provider workflows, lab orderables, blood bank, order transmittal and many other workflows in Epic.
The manager oversees and serves as an escalation point for issues in these areas and supports upgrades by leading note review efforts and acts as secondary on‑call for the Orders team.
- Managing IT staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, assigning projects/tasks, and monitoring performance.
- Ensuring staff alignment with mission and strategic plan.
- Ensuring staff compliance with budgets, resource allocation, operational plans, and policies.
- Ensuring that projects stay on track and regularly communicate status to department leadership and business/operational leaders.
- Regularly reviewing/implementing advances in technology and industry best practices.
- Assisting with preparation of operating and capital budgets following established guidelines and using benchmark data.

- Prior management experience (Preferred)
- Epic Inpatient Orders certification (Required)
- Bachelor's degree (Required)
