Judicial Education & Performance Unit Coordinator
The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a decisive, goal-oriented professional with a strong commitment to quality and exceptional attention to detail to join the Judicial Education & Performance Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating judicial education materials, including digital archives and other formats—to support ongoing training needs across the state. The selected candidate will also be responsible for coordinating the Continuing Legal Education service provider work of the unit.
This role requires outstanding organizational and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of the confidentiality required when managing sensitive content. Remote work:
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
- Coordinate CLE service provider duties for unit events, including maintaining provider status, ensuring compliance with Board on Continuing Legal Education (BCLE) regulations, and keeping accurate audit trails.
- Analyze practices to ensure all programming adheres to BCLE requirements.
- Manage the production of event materials, collaborating with judges and national expert faculty on logistics and content for educational events.
- Maintain databases related to faculty, CLE credits, course attendees, and other event information.
- Develop efficient workflows for processing post-event training documentation.
- Conduct post-conference analysis and reconciliation to ensure performance standards are met and workflows are effective.
- Compile and organize educational materials (such as PowerPoint slides, manuals, and bench cards) to ensure consistency with presentation standards.
- Develop and maintain archives and inventory of educational materials.
- Develop and organize electronic files for materials to be included on Judicial Education internal and external sites.
- Coordinate with trial division leadership to ensure materials are current, analyzing education resources and advising unit leadership.
- Create reports and establish performance standards to support these responsibilities.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by unit management.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience, one of which shall be in program development, program coordination, program analysis, program administration and/or administrative research.
- Demonstrated experience in administrative support, event coordination, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytic, and information management skills are preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is desired.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management will be helpful.
- Ability to travel to training event venues throughout the state is strongly preferred.
- Expertise in digital technology, such as computer hardware, software and digital media are strongly preferred.
- Relevant experience in archive/library/museum collections and/or digital asset management preferred.
- Familiarity with digital preservation methods and standards, cataloging metadata and archival functions strongly preferred
- Knowledge or experience with software migration would be helpful.
Substitution:
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
